Additional Information Regarding Experience
Casino Experience - The principal games dealt on our ships are Blackjack, American Roulette, Dice and various Poker games. Any applicant for a dealer position is required to have at least one years experience in a licensed casino in Blackjack and Roulette. Applicants will be interviewed and table tested by a Carnival Casino Representative.
Dealers are paid a Day Rate (fixed) and Tips (variable). For this reason the income for a month can vary depending upon the number of days in the month and the amount of tips collected.
The Day Rate is calculated based on the Dealer experience and level (Dealer 2, Dealer 3 etc.) Day Rate is typically about USD 10 per day or more.
The Tips are variable by their nature however Carnival Corporation Casino Division does guarantee a minimum level of Tips over a month, again depending up experience and level of the Dealer. The guaranteed minimum is normally from USD 1,000 per month.
Working on a 30-day month it is reasonable that a Dealer will get a minimum of USD 1,300 per month. Again this is minimum not a maximum.
Payment of TIPS
The tips received on the casino tables are divided among the staff once a week. The company does not withhold any tip money!
There is NO tax paid.
Accommodation and Food
There are NO costs for Food or Accommodation on the ship.
